Property Evaluation+
If you are considering renting or leasing your property we will work with you with a property evaluation. A property evaluation will assess your property, the area that it is located and the market conditions. All information is evaluated to determine the appropriate price to market the property and what methods to be used.
Pricing property correctly will help you achieve your investment goals.
Marketing+
Harris–McKay Realty markets the properties it manages in various forms of media and the internet. Each property is evaluated as to the most effective means of marketing in its respective market.
Tenant Screening+
Harris-McKay Realty will do our due diligence by checking credit and references as well as any other information available so that each tenant is evaluated on their merits. Although we cannot guarantee that even a great tenant won’t fall on hard times, we will do our best to get the best tenant/property match as possible.
Security Deposits+
Security deposits vary depending on the property. The funds are deposited into a trust account that is audited by the state. The security deposits are administered in accordance with state law.
Lease Preparation+
A lease or rental agreement is important and outlines the duties of the tenant and the landlord. It states such things as the rent amount and when it is due. The primary reason to have a lease is to protect both the landlord and the tenant. Most of our residential leases are initially for a year while commercial leases vary.
Jacksonville Area Information
Jacksonville was founded in 1833 on land purchased from Creek Indian Chief "Du-Hoag" Ladiga. First called Drayton, the town was renamed to honor President Andrew Jackson in 1834. There are a few Civil War monuments in town, including a statue of Major John Pelham in the city cemetery and a statue of Gen John H. Forney in the middle of the square. Jacksonville served as the county seat for Calhoun County until 1899 when it moved to Anniston. Jacksonville State University was founded here in 1883. Source From Wikipedia
